How to get free products on Instagram

How to get free clothes if you are a small blogger

So, how to get free clothes if you are a small blogger you’re asking? (I am not referring to the height you all) In the beginning, it seems like a fairy tale. Impossible to happen and too exclusive to dream about. But eventually as you grow with your Instagram and your socials, you are gonna have those free clothes collaborations.

Here’s how:

QUALITY OF YOUR PHOTOS. Nobody wants to see low-res pictures, in fact if you think about it you are the first person to know it. Do you stumble upon those content creators that have those LQ photos and you find yourself closing the page quicker than a camera hits flash? Then, quality has to happen and as soon as you realize it, the better it will be. If you don’t have an idea or you want to get inspirations on which photos are the trending ones, go on Instagram and browse famous influencers feeds. (or get on your explore page and start exploring 🙂 )

CONTENT. You think that content doesn’t matter when it comes to get free clothes? Well, it still matters as it’s the thing that will get your Instagram going and growing stronger! The more you write something useful for your followers, the more they will get back to your profile and improve your insights. After all, you are not doing social media just for yourself, right? (even if it’s a pretty good idea to start off as if you were writing your diary) It will get less awkward as the days go by. Trust me. (see my post How to create great blog content here)

READERSHIP. Everything counts when it comes to get more recognition as a blogger/content creators. Brands are particular drawn to bloggers that have a loyal readership, with constant messages and comments. They need bloggers/influencers with lots of readers in order to promote their brand. (makes sense) So, you need to start today and start leaving lots of comments on other’s Instagram feeds and blogs, they need to know you exist!

EMAIL BRANDS. Don’t be afraid as I have learnt that brands don’t bite. (yeah sometimes they do bark though) So, prepare your personal cover letter for each brand you want to get in contact with and you want to collaborate with and present yourself and your blog (plus all your social media links too), don’t forget to include compliments to the brand itself and a “looking forward to your reply” sentence as well. Brands like some kindness and anyway kindness is free.

LIST YOUR COLLABORATIONS. If a brand is visiting your social media profiles for the first time, they want to know who you are and most important they want to know who you collaborated with. Write down a list of your past collaborations (anything is legit) and don’t forget to do all the steps listed above to get to this one eventually!
