It’s quite reassuring when you realize you have been wearing a trend without knowing. Perhaps, it means you actually know a little about fashion, right?
Silver and gold are very much spot on this year, but I didn’t know it. I am still not sure whether or not it’s a trend to wear them together. But I really like to mix and match with them, especially with a casual look like this one. They give a young, feminine and elegant vibe all at the same time and I personally feel it’s a great touch to a comfortable outfit.
You know, athleisure?
Well, I feel like this mix of elegant jewellery with a casual look could be something on the same line. Maybe, they should give it a name. (even if I have been trying for the past five minutes with no results, but hey I am no expert)
And silver and gold are a great combo personifying two traits of my personality: my tomboy side and my feminine one. I didn’t want to leave either one of them behind, so bringing them together it’s the right thing to do for me. I can be myself and still look nice. (who said we just need dresses to be girly?)
Silver reminds me of the first time I wore a suit and I was around 5. I had so much fun, I couldn’t stop laughing on my baby pictures. It reminds me of all the times I picked a backpack instead that a bag and I started wearing my grunge long shirts and biker boots. It’s for the times when I just don’t want to put make up or do my hair and I am okay with looking messy.
Gold is for all the times I wanted to be a princess (hey I was small) and now a woman with her own flaws. It’s for the times I feel sexy and want to show it to the rest of the world. It’s for the special moments when I feel feminine and I am not afraid.
And I really want to cherish both of these sides of mine, which are part of who I am today.
